Training

 

SMA has created specific training courses for engine servicing and repair. Pilots are also offered SMA engine induction training for the SR305-230-1 engine.
The objective is to describe the engine’s technical characteristics and to transmit all knowledge in accordance with the official SMA technical publications required for aircraft mechanics to carry out all routine SMA engine maintenance operations, depending on the training course types and levels.


- Scheduled maintenance: this 3-day session trains technicians to perform scheduled maintenance on SMA engines. The course covers the various engine systems, concepts, operations, services, handling and use of the computerized maintenance system.

- Complete maintenance: by extending their training by 2 days, technicians will learn the various procedures from SMA experts, to disassemble, install and/or adjust various engine components, such as the cylinders or the engine control unit.
